Week 1 at Yeshiva/Midrasha

The last week has been an incredible one for all MTA-ers. Our first few days of learning were tough but for the most part rewarding. Thurday night's meet-up with the AZYC youth groups was a highlight and not just because of the excellent food (though that was definetly appreciated)!

I have a fairly in depth account of my take on the last week + photos over here at my blog.

Shalom!

Welcome to the "official" Blog of MTA 2006!

Coming to you live from Mirkaz Ha'ir, Jerusalem, ISRAEL!! (Rechov luntz & Rechov Dorot Rishonim)

We have been in the Holy Land now for just about 4 days and just finished the Opening Shabbat. The group is already preparing to go its separate ways after an initial get to know 75 other people. The dynamics have been awesome and the Shabbat was better than any of us had expected.

So far we have been to Tel Aviv and Yirushalim. Our first time as a group in the Old City we came down to the kotel. As we walked towards the Wall we burst into spontaneous song and dance. The Mifkad in the Kotel Plaza(a requirement of any bnei Akiva program) was a fitting beginning to what is the climax of our Bnei experience. An Inspiring speech by Oz(aka Ilan Osrin) reminded us that we will only get out of the year what we put in.

On that note we will go enjoy our time in Ben Yeduhah!
